Dr. DeForno and several staff members attended the Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry (PAGD) 2010 Annual Meeting this past weekend, May 13th-16th in the Poconos. The weekend was packed full of great information and fun. Paul Homoly and Ken Runkle were two of the featured speakers. The entire group also had a chance to attend a behind the scenes tour of the Pocono Speedway.
We are very proud to announce that Dr. DeForno was featured in the May/June issue of Chester County Life Magazine! We are pleased to announce that on Saturday, April 24, 2010 our entire team and other dental care professionals participated in Dentistry From the Heart. Our practice understands that many people need dental services, but have no means to afford them. We were able to assist over 60 patients!
We would like to thank the following companies and individuals for their willingness to support Dentistry From the Heart. All care was provided on a volunteer basis and our entire team donated our time to this wonderful cause. Dr. Peter Famiglio, Dr. Janet Chun, Dotty and Shelly from Brandywine Dental Implant and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery assisted by completing extractions. Other volunteers included students from our dental assisting program, Patrick DeForno and some of his classmates from dental school. All dental supplies were donated from Colgate, Patterson, Schein and Parkway. Brandywine Hospital provided a health fair for all of our participants and blood pressure screenings were offered. Citadel Federal Credit Union provided refreshments for our participants. Signal 88 Security provided on site supervision and organization. Giant Food Store provided us with a gift card so we could purchase breakfast for our volunteers. Little Chef Restaurant and Mom's Bake-At-Home Pizza supplied a fabulous lunch for our volunteers. Image Ink from Narberth, PA graciously donated shirts for all of our volunteers for the day as well!
